PAST & PRESENT EDITORIAL DESIGN BRIEF: The Royal Institute of Philosophy are planning to produce a publication to be distributed at the Past and Present lecture series event. Submit proposals for the event that captures the spirit of ‘The Past and Present Best Lectures’ We were given a document of 18 philosophy transcripts and instructed to create a publication encompassing all of them. This involved proof reading and establishing information hierarchy alongside the editorial design aspects. CONCEPT: As the tagline of the publication was ‘Philosophy for Everyone’ I wanted to make the transcripts accessible to people without prior knowledge of the subject. I did this through use of bright colours to make the book seem unthreatening and by putting definitions alongside the text.
